Science

Wonder and curiosity about the natural world lead to observation, classification, and ultimately to science and technology. It is best for the child to be led into the world of science through these same steps. Students learn much about science through the detailed study of stars, bugs, birds, and trees.

The lower school science curriculum also includes the study of the Latin roots of scientific names, as well as a beautiful anthology of English nature poetry. Students in grades K-6 learn to take delight in nature through reading Nature Readers.
